PVC is quite safe. I use it in my aquariums. The one that is NOT safe is ABS.

yes, I agree, I have feet and feet of PVC in my reef aquariums and if it is safe for reef fishes and inverts I wou ld assume it's also safe for lizards....and like someone said, it's used for human drinking water

I like the idea about paper towel tubes, less permanent, but definitely a godo thing to just throw it away when it's soiled

But it's not like you can avoid PVC alltogether, it's really just up to you.

Just make sure it's not burning while your snakes are climbing on it and you should be fine.

you could also run low watt heat wire through the PVC pipeing to make it nice and warm for the snakes/lizards to rest on...thats what im going to be doing
