New Reptile
I am getting a new reptile. I am building a terrarium 3' long, 13" wide, and 18" high (can be different if I decide on specific reptile) and I was wondering about what kind of Reptile I should get. I want something that isnt too bitey, and can be handled every so often. I was looking at fire skinks......please put in your input
thanks

Fire skinks are fun and would love a cage that size.

I think fire skinks would be great in there.

That 13 inch dimension means a beardie would outgrow the cage by the time it's 3-4 months old. Nothing that grows bigger than 12 inches should be kept in a tank that size. Some of the smaller agamas, emerald swifts, or definitely a fire skink would do just fine.

Yeah, that cage is considerably too small for a beardie. Go with the skinks!

Why don't you make it bigger and get either a uro or blue tongued skink.
