although that test seems hard to some of us, it's only because we never needed to know most of it, nor will it ever be practical to learn (ie: how many bushels will fit into a box of a certain size, or how to write a promissory note). I'm not saying grammar isn't important, it's just that the 8th grade back then had to be both practically geared as well as intended for people who wouldn't go on to more schooling.
