Using heat tape

Hi. I recently purchased a melamine enclosure. I am planning on putting down a layer of linolium because there are a few spots on the melamine that are missing the plastic-like coating.

my question is: can I put down some heat tape directly under the linolium?

the enclosure is approx 4Lx3Dx2H, what size heat tape would you recommend I use? it is for a burm.

cheers

Justin

It's never a good idea to put the heat tape between two things without giving it space to breath. You should mount it under the enclosure...
