shoebox

Can anyone give me the proper way to set up a shoebox(lights,heat,etc)So far i have only used aquariums.Curious

Also what size rubbermaid would be best?

i'll probably put the 2 new kingsnakes i'm getting in them not sure yet.

ok easy then, all you need is a hide box water bowl and something for the substrate you can use pretty well anything other then cedar, my fav paper towel, cypress mulch
you don't need any lights or anything and no suplementary heat this time of year, they should be kept between 80 to 85f

Could i do this with ball pythons as well?same setup?Still not sure but as my collection grows it seems to be a bit easier to take care of.Still like the aquarium for beig able to see the snake but they do take up more room.

Screen top or the plastic one with holes drilled?

pretty much the same idea for a Ball is ok, of coarse it would have to be warmer arond 90F is good
and your top idea, either is fine for the King but Drilling a few holes would be better for a ball they require a little more humidity.
