Reptile Humor!
What is the funniest thing your snake/reptile did? I love hearing the stories! I think mine has got to be when my cali king snake tried to escape out of her tank and she got stuck 1/2 way out. I was watching her the whole time and when she couldn't go any further she just looked up at me as if she was saying "HELP!!" It was so cute!

one of the funniest things i have seen is the way my girl beardie acts when she sees butterworms. There are pics in the bearded dragon forum if anyone would like to see them.

Cute, Gregg M , real cute !!
Our most recent cute herp moment here was getting up one morning to find our toad peeking at us from his flower pot. He had uprooted his spider plant completely & was 1/2 buried in the soil. All we saw was big bulgy eyes peeking over the top. LOL. He looked like a decoration pot hanger !!

Has to be when Zameya our prairie king went after our 20 pound cat. I had Zameya on one side of me (I like to think that he likes to watch tv with me on the couch) and the cat was sleeping on the other. All of a sudden Zameya was like zipping over trying to attack the cat (which is about the size of a 10 pin bowling ball and weighs about 18 pounds). I caught him in mid strike and put him back in his cage cause he couldn't play nice.

I owned a monkey tailed skink a few years back by the name of george. at the time, i was working part time in the evening. i arrived home from work about 10 p.m. one night, walked into the herp room and saw george relaxing on one of his branches. i looked at him and said "hi george" then proceeded to hang my jacket up in the closet. when i turned back around, there was george half in and half out of his wire cage. he was trying to get out thru the wire (my fault that the wire spacing was too wide), and got stuck at the halfway point, so he was just kinda hanging there. with this look on his face saying "come on, you're home now, play with me!" it was really cute! anyway, needless to say i had a new wire cage being ordered and delivered that week.

The funniest thing happened just a few days ago actually. My male corn snake Neo was on the bed with me and my other corn Morpheus. They were both calm (I was babysitting them while Invictus was cleaning out their terrariums), when all of a sudden, Neo SHOOTS off the bed, turns the corner and flies down the stairs only to be caught by Invictus. I was yelling "Ken! Snake Escape! Snake Escape!" *L* I'm glad he didn't injure himself, but boy could that snake BOOGIE!

i have to comment that my red eared sliders are hilarious, everytime i enter my reptile room they literally fly to the aquarium end closest to me and sit up like dogs, and since there is 2 of them they are always falling over each other....and when i move across the room....they splash into the water and do the same again. and when you approach the aquarium i swear they try to jumpand they are standing on their hind legs with the front legs on the glass, they love coming out, very outgoing for turtles i think, i get a lot of comments on them from people who see thier behaviour

Its a toss up for me... but both involve my corn snake "Austin"
He likes to play peek-a-boo with my gf from his hollowed log... he pops his head out and pulls it in over and over.
The other funny story was when I had Austin out on my arm. The cat came over to check him out. Both were curious about the other and went nose to nose so they could sniff one another. The snake decided he had smelled enough and started to back off but the cat tried to follow... so Austin gave my cat a little love nip on the nose LOL

I wish I could add to all this reptile humor but there really is nothing funny about a gaboon or puff adder....LOL

That reminds me of our boa and our late dog lexx... katey had feather out and being along snake can have one end over your shoulder and still have her head some where else (like your knee). Katey was standing outside talking to her mom and Lexx was roaming around doing dog things. Now Lexx likes to lick things (you should have seen him foam when he licked a toad) and he saw this "thing" (feather's head) hanging around near katey's knee so he starts going to lick feathers head. well lexx's mouth wasn't small by any means, feather sees this big doggy head with big teeth heading for her and she's having nothing of it. Quick as a flash she tags lexx briefly and then retreats up to safe distance, lexx only needed to be "told" once, he never tried licking a snake again. the really funny thing is that kates mom wanted us to bring lexx to the vet cause feather (a boa constrictor) might be "poisonous".

I think mine would have to be every time I take a baby leopard out of the incubator when it's born. The little scream and fake bite makes me laugh every time.

Damballah (My male bp) was out and a fly was in the room......irritating him.....he was wrapped around my wrist and about 2 1/2 ft at the time......he decided that he had enough of that fly, snapped, and I am pretty sure he caught it!!! Sure startled me!
