How do you house them at that age ?
What kind of container ?
And, what prey size do you start with.

They go into the 5.83L Rubbermaids that sit in one of my baby rack with thermostatically-controlled heat tape down the back (see picture):
They eat large mice fuzzies right away.

Jeff, I gotta ask, why run the heat tape along the back of the shelf? Just wondering if you find running it up the back better than along the top of each shelf...

Well Tim, if I ran it along each shelf, then that would make for 13 wire connections (13 shelves). Now I don't know about you, but 13 sockets is a PAIN IN THE A$$, LOL!!!! Plus that would mean 26 solderings (for 13 pieces of heat tape) and 13 male-plug end connections!! Too much work for my little body to handle man!!
Also, it functions better. The 5.83L Rubbermaids are very very small and they can overheat very quickly. If I keep the heat tape to one side of the cage (as opposed to the back 1/3 of the entire cage), then my thermal gradient is THAT much more effective, right? Heat tape down the back is the only way man!
Thanks Andy!!!!
Jen, there were 22 babies!!
