Took my Nile out for some real sun today!!!

I took my nile outside for awhile today for some real sun. What a difference. He is normally a handful. After about five minutes he inflated and was moving as fast as a sports car. It was cool to watch him after I took him back in. He was more alert to sounds and movement. I might do this for him a few times a week if I can.

Hi,
Its good for them, but beware, the jaws also act as responsive and fast as the rest of him! This happened every time I took my female 6'2" V. albigularis outside, which was daily...for good vitmains, sunlight and exercise...
cheers, Good Luck, Be responsible,
markb

No problem on being responsible. I put him in a rubbermaid with half covered for shade and a water bowl. I also never left him alone and only had him out for twenty minutes or so. He never wanted to go in the shade he was just being curious checking out every little sound and movement around him. I also fed him when I took him back inside. His feeding response which is normally incredible was even more so now.
I toyed with the idea of putting him in a harness that I have but the idea of trying to put him in it isn't that appealing. I also worry about him walking around in the grass and picking something up.
