attitude change

My ball python that went on a 11 month hunger strike was very docile, not head shy or anything. He started eating again 2 weeks ago and has eaten 2 meals since. Is it normal that his attitude is a little more......how do i word this......threatening.
He acts as if he will bite you, but he doesn't. Is this because he thinks that I am his food? I really dont know if any of you will understand what i am trying to say, but if you do understand and can help me, let me know

Maybe he's going into shed. Sometimes the first sign of an upcomming shed it the snake's "attitude".

Another possibility is that he is back and ready to eat, and hes scoping you out as a possible food source? Are you holding him right after feeding? They remain in hunting mode for quite a while after eating.
