Herping pics

Here are some pics of snakes I caught in North Carolina and Indiana recently. The pics are actually frames taken from a camcorder, so the quality is terrible. Sorry 'bout that...

This is one reason I dont blame some people for mistaking Northern Water Snakes for Copperheads.

I am 6 feet tall. My hands are a few inches apart, and there was still about 10 inches of tail after it left my hand. Black Racer...

looks like a good catch! i am going to west texas this summer sometime to go herping but around my house i only find watersnakes and texas rats

Yeah, it would have been funny, and I would have been a little more worried, but when I first picked him up, he acted like it happened all the time. Calm as could be and just looking around.

man i wish i could find snakes like that, im just below him in south carolina, all the people go to the places where i look so i they go away from them

South Carolina? Man, you're in snake heaven. I actually live in Indiana and was just visiting NC. You should be able to find tons of snakes there in SC.

he is right ben. my friends dad was just in SC a few months ago and he said that he saw a ton of snakes
