WEll today I picked up a Common Boa for a local pet store. I wasn't really lookin for a boa but when I saw this little guy I felt so sorry for him. First off his cage was disgusting and they also had a Burm and a Ball in there with him, I bitched out the employees for thier $hitty care of these snakes then I took him home. He is doing well after a little soak to get ride of the smell of fecies plus he as been dewormed . I'll post some pics when he settles in, ops forgot I named him Homer DOH!
Unfortunately by "rescue buys", the stores are being further supported andmore animals will be brought in. Its sort of a lose-lose situation... if you buy the animal that particular animals is rescued, however it just supports the problem as a whole
The industry needs stores, and no stores are perfect, but the bad stores need to be seeded out somehow
