Lost a little girl last night

Well I lost a babie last night.....she was not acting right for a couple days.....and she has never grew like the rest have.

Well her light blew yesturday and when I got home I replaced it, I guess the warm up was just to much for her, I had left to go out for a ride on my bike and when I got home she was laying in the bottom of her cage.

I got her out, she was still alive, so I called my budy who ownes waldo pets here in KC, one of the smartest guys I have met so far, he told me if there was a chance to bring her back, and it was doubtfull at this point, was to try to put a drop of honey in her mouth. He said that the suger was a rush for them and may snap her back enought to get her to a vet....well she never recovered....I felt bad, but I guess I have to just chalk it up to a learning experience and I will know better next time!

I'm sorry to hear of your loss Xetox! I know how hard it is to lose a little one like that... they're so young and fragile that there's such little you can do... Sounds like you did your best and your attitude towards it being a learning experience is great! Good luck in the future, I hope you don't have to go through it again.

It certainly sounds like she might have had some health problems to begin with if she was growing at a slower rate than her siblings. You did what you could for her and that's the most important thing.

My deepest condolences.

Xetox,

Sorry for your loss. I know it hurts - especially when there seems to be no obvious reason for theri demise.

Even when we have 150 babies at a time, if one goes, it still tears at the heart.

We have plenty of veiled babies coming soon... over 450 eggs are scheduled to hatch in the next 45 days... already have the first 35. I'll bet we could manage to find you a replacement - as not all the chams go out for sale (I explained in a private email to you).

Hang in there.... and take good care
