Need Help with pinktoe

Hey all I just got a pinktoe 2 days ago and its not eating and when I got it at the pet store it had a beautiful web nestin its enclosure but doesnt do it in the tank. Is she about to molt ? Please help and if you have pictures of your enclosure decorations please post so I can see what it looks like cause all I have is cork bark and a couple of sticks so it can climb.

just give it time... maybe it is about to molt.. i know when i got my pink toe.. it didn't do much the first couple days.. and i came home and it was on its back and looked all shiny and stuff and at first i thought it fell on the rock and smashed to death and it was its shiney guts hanging out.. then i turned on the light and realized it was molting so i watched it for a couple hours (this was at night time so i was tired and not thinking right.. about the guts and smashing.. *insert laugh here*) anywayz.. after it molted it started to build webs like a madman..
ok.. did this make any sense? :/ i don't feel like reading over what i just typed.. ha.. umm..

It can take them over a week or more to get used to a new cage or even if you clean/rearrange their cage, they can go off of feed for a while. As long as she is in good shape to begin with she should be fine.

Watching a molt is a rare occurance, is very cool.

mine has an hard time climbing the glass of the tank what could I put on the sides and back of the tank?

most pink-toes I have come across in petstores are adults that usually have no moltings left. they are not like snakes which continue to grow throughout their lives. If it is molting like said above they flip over and look dead so don't toss it unless your sure

i am assuming that it was a spiderling in a pill bottle and now you have put it in a larger container. most likely alot of stress from the change of environment. i find they eat thier web around molting time as well so keep an eye out for that.

if they are thier back they are most likely going to molt. a dead spider has its legs collapsed underneath it

it didnt make a web.Can I put in a fake christmas tree branch in their for decorations?

a thick piece of driftwood would suffice and would probably be safer. that is what i have in my pinktoe tank

Deffinatley put in cork bark and also a fake plat but make sure you use peatmoss mix bedding and also a small bottle cap type water dish and make sure you lightly mist the cage as they need good humidity, Whats your cage temps like??? Whats the size of the pink toe???

its about 2 inches and its in the 60's for the temp. and its in a 50 gal. since the crickets and mealworms are in the 10 gal.

Whoa its temps are to low and its in to big of a cage.. get the temps up to about 78 and get it in a much smaller cage , like a 5 gal if its only 2 inches it feels unsafe in such a huge cage.. use a tank that you can stand up vertical- long wise then get peatmoss mix bedding about 2 inches deep moisten it, put a bark-cork in standing up on a angle, mist that lightly and put a tiny fake plant next to the bark..leave it be for 2 days and then try to feed it.. it will feel more secure in this set up and will make a small webb house between the bark and the glass... Thats a small baby... make sure the crix are small enough...

watching it molt is very neat... i've caught my pink toe molting 3-4 times.. it's taken from 45 mins to 3 hrs.. still very awesome to watch.. even though it could go on for long.. *laugh*
