geckoguy - some people just like to know things. It'll probably never save your life to know that a burmese python and a ball python snake aren't the thing - even though you don't know either species - but it's still good to know.
Just as you may not care to know certain things and I do, and vice versa.

I don't believe that the Madagascar boas have been reclassified as Boa yet. I know it was proposed and bublished and many areas included these taxonomical changes, such as CITIES, and Canadian customs. But I do not think they have been accepted Acantrophis and Sanzinia are still the propper Genus'. If I am wrong I would very much appreciate an update, and other info.

Yes Gary, Acrantophis and Sanzinia are still the proper Genus.

Chondro, I am sorry if you took that so personally. When I got my book (published 1990) I went through and double checked everything. I noticed that some of the taxonomy was wrong, so I corrected it. I just thought you would like to know that the book you have is not correct, nor complete. You can never take the word of any single book, or single website. Always do your research. Again, I apologize for any offense, it certainly wasn't intended, but then I do not recall making any kind of personal attack.
