Exclamation Ball python climbing

I got my ball python a little over 2 weeks ago and she won't stop climbing on the cord to her thermostat. She keeps on falling and I don't want her to hurt herself. We bought her a plant that sunction cups to the sides of the tank but we had to take it out. Because she would get on the top of her tank and fall. I don't know what to do. She constantly is on the edges of her tank with her belly on the walls as far up as she can go. What should I do?

Sorry I am new to this. I don't know if this is normal or not.
