I was wondering, If i get some snake repellent from home depot and put it in and around my appliances, will that drive her out of hiding?
She is just so damn small it is like a needle in a haystack, and she has the advantage.

Re: kingsnake escaped
When mine got out, I'm almost positive she was in the fridge for at least a couple of days. I could've sworn I was hearing noises from that area, and then they stopped, and then I found her a day or two after that. Fridges are a tempting hiding spot for snakes...it's warm, dark, and they can get way up in the back of them to feel secure.
Most (if not all) of those snake repellants don't work.

Re: kingsnake escaped
checked the refrigerator last night, nothing. Having to look in all these tiny places is exhausting. I placed the mesh box with live pinkies out again last night. Kept the house warm and dark. Nothing. Maybe she is just stubborn and not wanting to come out? No noise. My dog and cat are not sniffing any corners or acting like there is a snake out. I am going out of town again this weekend. Going to leave some pinkies and water out. Hopefully I get something.

Re: kingsnake escaped
Could just be hiding until it feels safe. When was the last time it ate? If it's still in the house, it'll start moving once it gets hungry. It may do a bit of moving around while the house is empty for a couple days.

Re: kingsnake escaped
She last ate 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I am going to set the terrarium the floor with a heating pad under and set up my best cams and hope to get something.

Literally as I hit send on my last post, my kids come running in screaming. They found her in the drawer RIGHT UNDER the terrarium. I checked and cleaned that drawer 4 times this week. I took the back and bottom off the damn refrigerator last night haha. O well happy to have her back. Terrarium lid heavily taped down and weighted.

Re: kingsnake escaped
I'd just keep an eye on her for the next couple weeks to make sure she's all good. Although I'm sure she's fine, it's best to just keep a close eye on her since she was out and about.

Glad you found her. Sometimes they don't stray far at all.

Re: kingsnake escaped
I cleared that drawer at least 4 times. O well, just happy it's over and ended well.
