Hibernation

Is it the correct word , do snakes hibernate? If so, how long does this go on for. Does it work to seasons or do other things make it happen. Can anyone help me out :blink

Re: Hibernation

Typically it is done in winter for American snakes and flipped to summer in the case of Australian species etc. Whether it's actually necessary is a whole different issue.
