Choking?

Hey guys, wanted to ask if its possible for a snake to choke on a prey item. Ive been feeding the same size rat to my boa but it looked very weird when he at. His neck looked more streched then usually and he sat with his mouth open for abou ten minutesbefore attempting to pass it along past his neck. I hadnt seem him do such a thing before. He seems fine now but it got me wondering, Is there any Heimlich maneuver for snakes?

Re: Choking?

Snakes don't choke, they push the glotis (wind pipe) out of their mouth while eating which prevents this from happening.
