Hi to all.
Have 2 questions
1) What differents between IMG and SIMG?
2) How this IMG/ SIMG gene works? Is it dominant or recessive

Never heard of SIMG, guessing a super IMG? I know there is IMGs, Eclipses, and Midnight Gins. It stands for Increasing Melanin Gene and does just that. Its Co Dom.

No. SIMG mean Sonora IMG, as I understand it is a bit other way to get IMG morph, from Sonora BCI. Not from Columbian for example... It is just my thoughts...
For example. Both are IMG but tith different genetic...or what?

I a bit not understand of IMG genetic. From what morphs will come IMG? It is a color mutation or it must be some special morphs breeding?

IMG is it's own morph. I believe it's recessive but don't quote me as I'm rusty on BCI morphs.

Breeders said that IMG is a Co-dominant gene... hmmm...

It is in fact a co-dominant trait. There are not het img and yes it is It's own morph and originated from Colombian lines and it was first replicated by Pete Kahl. I've heard of leopard IMG combos before, but I have never heard of a pure sonoran IMG before, but that's not to say it doesn't exist. Perhaps it's something that popped up in Europe but not in North America yet?

Hans Winner- this breeder from Germany. Have breed a pure Sonora IMGs. I just will have some boas from his line soon, and that's why I'm asking about Sonora IMG. I'm interesting more in Leopard genetic , but there is all clear , Leopards are recessive gene. But my snakes will be pure Sonora het Leopard poss IMG. And just wanted to know how this Sonora IMG gene will work. Maybe it will be better to ask Hans Winner about this haha

I think I found an explanation. That is what Hans write about SING. In his facebook page.
-Sonora Leopard IMG.
While I was raising some Leopard Boa holdbacks in the past, I realized that a few of the animals while growing up darkened into solid black. I bred a pair of them together and their Babies went black after a while, too. Same thing once more in the 2011. In 2013 I bred a Sonora Boa Leopard SIMG to a normal Sonora Boa which ended up in a nice litter het. Leopards. All of them are phenotypical SIMGs and are currently darkening well.

As I understand- the SIMG- it is a very very dark (black) Leopard. And this color mutation work the same as IMG like Co-dominant gene in next litters...

thats really nice, ive had my hypo img from kevin Hasley of which she is a litter mate to the Black Devil, she is really cool and getting darker each shed

thanks ,she was 1 in April,so i reckon shes going to be really dark by the time shes adult . shes a bit of a grumpy hisser thats why i called her medusa as she hissed the whole 2 hr drive when i picked her up in April,lol.I keep persevering with the handling sessions last week she didn't hiss or strike while i had her out she just went from hand to hand no problem for around half hour so im hoping shes going to settle down as she ages she such a great looking snake and shes growing really fast

Haha . I have one het Leopard boy. He looks very calm and friendly. But when you stop control him- he bite!!! Hahaha
