Need a little insight

Last night feeding my milk snake. He just curled around the f/t fuzzy, just his tail end. I left him alone for about 45 min. When I tried to move the mouse he was pretty tight around it. He did this one before but not tight and kind of around his mid section, just curled protectively around it. When I moved the mouse last time he finally took it and ate. This time he just ran away and didn't eat. Anyone else seen anything like this? Thank you all for any advice you may have.

He is looking a little dull, so I think he is just starting the process. His eyes have not clouded over yet.

Some snakes won't eat while in shed. So he is probably going into shed.

Re: Need a little insight

Don't worry, just wait for the next feeding time... don't offer now every day, if he was on a 5 day schedule or something, just wait out the 5 days. Kings/milks will handle it just fine. Mine also sometimes skip while in shed, and next shed feed just like any other day. It really depends.
