An early birthday present

My snake room/spare bedroom is coming along. Just got these cages from Herphouses and I have to say the quality is outstanding. I couldn't be any happier. The bottom 4' enclosure comes from powerhouse displays. It houses my boa constrictor. The 4' split currently houses my Dumerils boa. One of the arboreal cages will eventually hold my Amazon tree boa. So that leaves me with 2 empty cages one of them being arboreal. I'm open to suggestions

Re: An early birthday present

Happy Birthday Billy! Very nice looking cages. If you have 2 empty ones I'd say a sunglow boa, GTP, carpet python, or bull/gopher/pine snake would all fit in nicely with your collection.

Re: An early birthday present

Thanks for the bday wishes I'm heading to an expo next Sunday safe to say they won't be empty for long lol. Would a smaller carpet python, an Irian jaya, be comfortable in a 2x2x2 cage as an adult?

Re: An early birthday present

A 2x2x2 for an adult Jungle or IJ might get a little tight. I have my 18 m/o, 5ft, 1500g male in a split 4x2 with my slightly younger/smaller jungle female. She's fine but he's getting a little cramped. I'm getting ready to move him to a larger enclosure. I think a 3x2 would be ok but I'll probably end up with a 4x2. I'm torn between putting my 2 jungles in a split 6x2 or getting them individual 4x2s.

Re: An early birthday present

My IJ has a 36x18x18 right now and she's maybe half grown. She will eventually end up in a 4x2x2 as an adult most likely since I like her as a display animal.

I made the stand myself out of thin gauge steel. I work in the steel industry so let's just say it didn't cost me much thanks for the compliments and birthday wishes everyone!
