My DataBase Program

Hello everyone, I have been programing a program to help me keep record and update's on my snake's. so I can look at the snakes progress. How ever I can make this specially for you guys and dedicated to the site That is if you guys think that it will prove useful. I still have a few more hours of work to do on it. So what you guys think you want it?

data charts updateable, savable, storable.

data charts include : updateable pictures, morph, name, weight, length, diet, species, date, time, etc...

anything else I should add let me know

It's by far the best program CURRENTLY on the market, I look forward to seeing yours though

Im really interested to see your program!!! Just starting my collection of 5 is starting to get a bit hectic with keeping track.
Maybe add temp, humid, and when they poop! Im pretty thorough.

Thank you I will look into the sites. Ill resume coding tonight and hope have it finished by tomarow maybe even tonight if no problem. Glad to hear some people have interest in this lol. started yesterday, and would suck if nobody wanted it

Not to burst your bubble but I've seen a few of these programs come and go. Nobody has gotten it to catch on.

Now if there was a mobile app for it I'm sure it would have a way larger following.

For giving the idea I expect a 1% royalty.

Fantastic idea Aaron S!!! That will be the next project. Will take longer bc the language I use does not yet support smartphone app's. However I am familiar with C++ which has a plugin I believe to code for mobile apps. I have never made one b4 but I think that is a good idea. maybe even worth a sell lol.

That would also be great bc it will be more Global, This program will only run on Windows PC. And requires the newer frameworks.

I have tried the mobile app for iphone. What a waste of $2. Takes longer to enter in data than to actually feed the snakes. I saw no value in using it at all so yours will have to streamline data entry or fall into the same pit. Good luck. I hope it all works out for you.

I know that Vyp3r and Herperpro are teaming up, there will be an Iphone app when it comes out.

Sounds like a good Idea but as Terranaut pointed out could take to long. I use pen and paper have it all written out all I do is tick or x the appropriate boxes.
But I would still be interested as that way you could use a search button to find what you are looking for rather than trying to find the page in a book.

Other things I note is urates, poo's and breading info such as locks and ovulating.

A phone app would be good as I rarely use my laptop these days so I find myself writing notes on my phone and then putting all the info onto my spreadsheet on my laptop when I do switch it on. Now if I didn't have to double my inputs as I currently do and it was easy to use and set out well I would be interested.

I think it's all about simplicity.

I would consider the market for breeders to easily have a file system of their pairs and such to be of use at a show. You can easily show parents when someone may inquire or fire off a COG on the spot.
