i have a tub that i want to use as a water bowl. my snakes only 2 feet long and 6 months old. how deep of water do i want in the bowl? just enough for him to submerge himself? i heard snakes arent dumb and wont drown themselves though . before i just had a little dish he couldnt lay in but after further research it seems it wouldn't hurt for me a put a bigger, deeper water bowl in. thanks again

As long as he has a way out, and the water isn't cold he should find his way out.

I have 2 water bowls in my 11 month female bci's one on the cold side and one in the middle so choice of warm or cold water, For depth I make sure she has the option of being able to fully submerge. You could add pebbles on one side so it has different depths.
