ok so i've had my boa for a month. there is a little old shed on his tail, when i picked him up today his eyes were very foggy and his head a lighter color. i looked it up and im guessing hes about to shed. from this point how long do they take to shed? i've read to not feed while hes about to shed, i have just introduced a moist hide into his enclosure because i want to help with his shedding. thanks again
if his eyes are very foggy it shouldnt be too long, the moist hide is a great idea, misting the tank a bit might help too. as long as the humidity is decent it should start soon, if there are troubles though browse around, there are tons of tips for helping with shedding.
There eyes get foggy. Once they clear up again itll be in the range of 2-5 days. Usually they wont eat while the eyes are foggy (some of mine will) but once their eyes clear up they will eat while still be shed

Mine seem to be like clock work, in the blue for 2 days then 3 days later they shed but 2-5 days is normal.Once shed give it an hour or so then get it out and make sure there is no stuck shed.
It's important that it all comes off there is plenty of info on that if needed.
Whys it important if all the shed comes off? I could see it being ideal...but it looks like this guys sheds been on his tail at least a month...are we talking lack of circulation of blood?
