I didn't exactly stick my hand in between its coils whilst it had hold of the rat, i was on the phone whilst feeding, and wasn't paying attention, offered her food on the tongs, not really expecting her to take as she had been ovulating and off her food, she then shot past the rat and tongs missing completely and wrapped round my arm, luckily she back tracked and grabbed hold of the rat rather than any of my fingers and then set about constricting it, once she was satisfied, she loosened her grip, and ate the rat, then i returned her to her viv. My fault for not paying attention, but no damage done so didn't bother me.

I don't hand feed anything big, easier to avoid getting bitten that way lol, but mistakes happen when you don't pay full attention, it's just a good job i know when feeding the bigger snakes that can actually do some damage, and the venomous stuff to concentrate more lol.

Thanks woma pythons are great snakes, i used to hand feed when i kept mainly colubrids, but it isn't worth it for me with the bigger stuff, i'd end up losing too much blood lol.

His a cool little guy. A 2009 he really mellow out over the years. The guy i got him from hooked trained him, so all i do is pick him up with the hook and set him in my hand. Once in my hand he mellow as can be. I swear they look like a mini scrub python. Here's a link to my thread on him. I need to add some new pictures. http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/gener...vu-python.html
