Exclamation So, I just found my snake....

Hi! This is my first time posting here, but I really need some help. I found my snake after her being lost for 4+ months, presumably outside(she was found outside at about a twenty degree Fahrenheit temperature), and I have no materials for her. Right now she is inside and she's been in here for roughly a week in a bin. She has a dark coloration, but not dull. I need to know if I should feed her, or what. I'm hoping to bring her to Cornell to have her taken by one of the students, or have her go to our local nature center.

What do I do? Please don't talk to me about how I should have done this or that, because I did everything I possibly could think of and I now need your help.
Additional info: Caroline is a confirmed female Honduran Milk Snake who is roughly 4-5 years old. She escaped from her 55 g. tank, pushing past cage clips and all roughly 4-5 months ago. She was just found last week.

Thank you!

Cornell is just a hop and a skip from me, great place.

I would go ahead and feed it, if it's been warmed up inside for a while, everything should be OK.

Wow, I must say you are pretty lucky to have found her again especially with her not being around for that length of time! It's good that you did and I'm sure once you get her feeding again she should be fine. How is she weight wise? And you should post pics

As long as temps are good for her now and she has had some time to "rest" go ahead and offer food just as you did before.

Re: So, I just found my snake....

Thanks for the replies. I'll feed her first thing in the morning!! Is it OK even though she doesn't have an overhead lamp?
I haven't actually disturbed her except to give her water. I'll weigh her before her feeding and I'll try to post some pics. thank you all so much.

Re: So, I just found my snake....

This is the honduran milk snake i just adopted!
She is doing well, and seems to really be enjoying her humid hide

edit: i was told she had not eaten since being found; I have NOT tried offering food yet, but will some time this weekend. She seems pretty well fed and in good body condition.
