Tegu enclosure

I recently got around $500 extra cash and I'm interested in either building or buying an enclosure I could keep a tegu in. I've always been interested in them and now I have the funds to make the proper enclosure.

If anyone could point me into the right direction whether it's professionally made or not I'd appreciate it.

What type of tegu? You're probably going to have to build it yourself. If you are going to buy a custom enclosure, you should expect to pay several thousand dollars.

I was thinking of a Colombian or Argentine. The local Tegu rescue keeps their two personal tegus in a 8x4.

A Colombian can be kept in a minimum of a 6x3x3 enclosure. An Argentine shouldn't be kept in anything smaller than 8x4x4. For two tegus, you would have to go larger.

I'm only interested in one, have you personally built anything around 6x3x3 or 8x4x4 and know the price you spent?

Yeah, I have a few 8x4x4s and a 6x4x4. On the smaller one I think I spent a total of $250. On the larger ones, probably about that same price range... perhaps a little more. I mean, you still have to buy the same amount of wood. The only difference is substrate and furnishing a larger enclosure. If you're going to be buying the wood anyway, it's better to go bigger.
