Its Begun! Boapocylps
So I ran around on CL today and found a bunch of people getting rid of boas, NICE looking boas for dirt cheep, basically the 50 dollar rehoming fee. Most with the same excuse "got at reptile expo, have no time/money for it"
I may have gotten myself in deep. Ive applied to over 20 different adds. Some are down right stunning. A snow boa for 120! thats insane.
Time to build a new rack system

Ive got a huge house and a bigger garage. 2 car garage, no car in it
Monitor cage is in there cause its too big to go anywhere. I will probably only get 4 or so at a time. 6 month QT here i come. many are from the same litter. So Idk what the QT on them would be, because they are neos could I keep them in tubs together?

No. You cannot keep them together. The purpose of quarantine is to be kept seperate so in case one has something then the other's won't catch it before you notice. Also, if you get an animal, and then get another animal 2 months later then ALL the animals in quarantine restart too. Be sure to calculate this into things.
Personally, I think you're getting in over your head. Especially if you wish to transport them to Germany. I would definitely look into that first before picking them up. I do know big breeders who go over there with tons of animals so it can be done. That's for re-sale though so I'm unsure if there's anything additional for pets to be transported cross seas.
What are you looking for in these ads? Just one pet snake? Multiples? Just cheap snakes and however many you can? I think you need to figure that out before you go ahead with some of them. This is how people get in over their heads. It's easy keeping a couple animals but bring in a few at a time and it's exponentially more difficult and longer to do. It can burn you out. BEWARE!

To add to this.
All of the big breeders I know that are sending snakes to Europe have a master cites permit which cuts down on tons of paperwork.

Aren't you moving to Germany? This sounds really irresponsible. You will have no control over quarantine while your gone.

Why? Am I doing something bad? Please tell me if I am. I saw so many boas- some are suppose to be true red tails. Ive been picking through each add. There are so many good looking boas.

Re: Its Begun! Boapocylps
I thought you were boarding them while you were gone.
Have you looked into your cites permit yet? Will you need a vet check on them? If so do you know what a vet check will cost for international importation? It will have to be done by a specific vet and it won't be cheap.

Re: Its Begun! Boapocylps
I'm wondering why you wouldn't buy them in Germany. The cost of shipping & paperwork might exceed buying them in Germany, with the exception of the snow, which seems like an exceedingly good deal.
