Basiliscus plumifrons (Plumed Basilisk)
She's a female, about six to eight months old.

Re: Basiliscus plumifrons (Plumed Basilisk)
Very cool. Do the dots on her back remain for life?

They may or may not fade. I've seen some plumed basilisks without any spots at all in their adult life, and some with many.

I had a pair of browns, but the greens are my favorites. Are you going to get a male?

I agree; they're amazing how they can scoot along on the water's surface!

Re: Basiliscus plumifrons (Plumed Basilisk)
Lovely little lass. Will she too develop a "plume" or is that strictly a 'male' thing? (Seem to recall only males doing so but ...)
