Hi, Recently retire Bronx Zoo herpetologist, just joined
Hello All,
I'm a herpetologist and author, recently retired from a career of over 20 years with the Bronx Zoo, and have participated in field research efforts with a variety of amphibians, reptiles, invertebrates and other creatures in several countries. I currently write and manage ThatReptileBlog where I address the conservation, natural history and care of herps and invertebrates, and answer readers' questions pertaining thereto. New articles are posted several times weekly.
The balance of my time is spent writing books on herp, invertebrate and fish care and natural history, consulting for zoos and museums and (when luck favors me!) in field research.
I look forward to corresponding with as many members as possible in the future.
Best regards, Frank Indiviglio

Hi Kimberly,
Thanks for the kind words. I've worked with a number of species here in the NE USA and on west coast, but most memorable was green anaconda research in Venezuela; spanned 5 yrs, over 500 snakes marked. Site is preventing me from posting links (not sure if that is permanent or not?) but if you go to Thatreptileblog and search under "Hunting anacondas..." you should get right to it and some related articles and photos.
Or, send an email to findiviglio@thatpetplace.com and I'll send some links.
Best, Frank

Not permanent, we had to make a post restriction on links, because we were getting pounded with spam..
Now that your post count is up, try it again.. if not, I will modify your user status to allow for links.

Re: Hi, Recently retire Bronx Zoo herpetologist, just joined
Hi Frank Did you work with Lisa Zedik at all? I worked with Lisa in Boston. She told us so many great stories of working at the Bronx and Central Park Zoos. There was a young girl that worked with us in Boston that went to the Bronx, her name was Katie. I don't remember her last name. She borrowed my copy of "You Belong in a Zoo" never returned it. Were you mentioned in the book?
