Thoughts on logo
The name "Next Generation Boas" is the work of Barely Breathing (Thank you again. You're awesome!) and the logo is a result of the combination of a few ideas, put together by Ryan (Mr. Barely Breathing, of Barely Breathing Studios).
Please, let me know your honest opinion! (Any opinions deemed to be smoke being blown up any orifice will be discounted and deleted! .jk)
I've been told the picture doesn't really fit the rest of the phone, and perhaps should maybe be a drawing? Thoughts on that?
Thanks everyone!

Re: Thoughts on logo
I like the name but I am not liking the logo.. it looks cheep. I would change the face shot to a group shot or at least a full body shot of some sort.

This was actually my thought, too. A nice group shot- a MGB, a Surinam, and a rainbow.
A huge problem is that Roy and I are states apart and I can't take the photo myself.

Re: Thoughts on logo
I think an illustration would make it pop and it would be easier to replicate on business rads and banners and stuff

Re: Thoughts on logo
The picture seems to just wash out the effect, I think an illustration staying to the black and white would stand out.

Re: Thoughts on logo
So instead of a photo do an nice illustration. I think it would still look good and allow you to position them exactly how you want them to be.

Try that head in monochrome.

Re: Thoughts on logo
Thanks everyone for you ideas. I like the idea of a drawing to stick with the b/w theme. Hopefully that's easy to do. I really like the idea of monochrome! (but I don't think my photographer's camera has the capability.) I can do that on my Smartphone, but it's not high enough resolution to allow the photo to be enlarged for a banner.
My initial idea was to make the scales monochrome, but that seemed really tough to do. I really like the way they turned out!
I originally also thought of using all three heads, in a kind of forked formation, facing downward. My wife didn't really like the idea, with good reason I think, and that was, if Boa Constrictors get added to the Lacey Act, that head would need to be removed.

Re: Thoughts on logo
You have no idea what I went through to get that picture! Lol Totally kidding guys. That has nothing to do with anything.
Please, keep the feedback coming. The more the better.

Re: Thoughts on logo
Yet another voice in support of the name and text style but not of the photo at the center of the logo. A groups shot, or interesting illustration would be better.

Re: Thoughts on logo
Seems to be a common theme here. That's great! I think that makes it easier to enhance.

Re: Thoughts on logo
First things first:
Can you illustrate?
You can change any photo to monochrome with an editing program.
That picture is awful. It's blurry and dull.
The rounded font looks cliche and will limit where you can use that logo. I try not to ever round anything because it looks "canned".
