What sort of lizard (gecko?) is this?

Leonard - Imgur

We live in Minnesota, we think he must've hitched aboard a shipping container. We've been keeping him in a 10 gallon tank with some sort of reptile carpet we were given for the bottom, some hiding and basking spots, with a 50W UVA bulb and a 50W Infrared bulb. We've been feeding him mealworms, and I picked up some waxworms today as he still seems really skinny.

If I could identify him, I think we could care for him much better, as I don't know what his specific needs are, or how big he'll get! He's about the size of a thumb, maybe a little longer with tail.

I believe that's a house gecko.

Yep, looks like a house gecko. Very common and easy to care for. You have any experience with geckos?
