Re: What morph is this corn?
Ghost or anery, could we see a belly picture? Look at the belly scales and the lines on the saddles are they black or a grey/brownish color? Black would be anery and the lighter is a ghost. A ghost is anery and hypo. Hypo reduces the black.

Re: What morph is this corn?
Wow the genetics confuse me so badly. I'm 90% there's no black. I'm thinking about breeding. I've got a normal, amel, a Miami and this one. Hoping to expand and maybe get some interesting morphs. Thanks for all the replies guys, ill take a pic of the belly and post tonight

Re: What morph is this corn?
definately not an anery. I don't think it's a ghost either.
small chance you have an Amber Upper keys, which is selectively bred. But I can't find any pics of the adult, just the hatchling
Amber Upper Keys Corn Snake - Ians Vivarium
Not sure what else to say, there's so much reddish/brown in those saddles!! You may have to do some test breeding to see what genetics make that beauty up!!

Re: What morph is this corn?
There is a lot of brown, that's what drew me to the snake. I'd never seen anything like it but my experience is limited. I am in west palm so not terribly far from the keys. I'll have to have the snake probed and see what my breeding possibilities are.

Re: What morph is this corn?
I don't see any caramel at all in that one. As caramels get older they get more golden yellow color. Anything with caramel in starts out very brown. Amber is caramel + hypo.
I'm betting it's a ghost, they can vary in shade a lot from really grey to really pink.
Ghost: Ghost Corn Snake - Ians Vivarium
Charcoal is another possiblity : Charcoal Corn Snake - Ians Vivarium
There is no yellow on the sides of the head are there? Charcoals usually have little to no yellow.

Re: What morph is this corn?
I have yet to see either a ghost or a charcoal put out brown saddles like that, only ever saw them put out shades of gray.

Re: What morph is this corn?
Hey all, finally back from work. Took some new pics. There's no black whatsoever. The snake is a long way from being breedable, much too young. Here are some of the new pics. Anyways I'm gonna make plans for in a year or two to breed. Any tips to help nail down what morph this guy is? Right now I have a normal, amel, and a miami. Gonna have to get this guy probed to see who its compatible with but plenty of time to expand my collection.

Re: What morph is this corn?
where did the brown go???? was it just the lighting????
if you had posted those pics first, I would have agreed with the ghost or something along those lines, seems very light for an anery (either A or B)

Re: What morph is this corn?
I think the white background made it look washed out. The snake definitely looks brown to my eyes. I showed the snake to my fiance to get an independent eye and she said light brown or caramel saddles on a gray background. I'm uploading a video to youtube now. Will post a link soon

Re: What morph is this corn?
ya, I saw almost a reddish brown saddles.
caramel in an adult corn would show up far more yellow, but in a hatchling or yearling more brownish.
really, in order to find out what it is, you may need to try more than one mating. possibly anery A or charcoal (anery B), possibly caramel, possibly the upper keys selective bred that I mentioned.
So hard to start with an unknown quantity, especially when you are thinking of future breeding projects.
