Question indentifying this lizard

this lizard is an agama of some sort. but no idea which specific one! hes small abooouuut 4" svl. Brown kind of a speckledy pattern i think..white belly. likes to climb. VERY fast. ive searched around and all i get are foreign pages in russian, spanish, chinese which give info on absolutely ANYTHING but lizards! im thinking of adopting him! and was wondering if any of you can tell me what it is!
Thanx in advance! (that is if anyone replies!)

Could it be a collared lizard? That's the first one I thought of - they are fast as lightning, love to climb and some are brown and speckled. They have a tell-tale blackish band around the neck, hence the name collared. They do get much bigger than 4", but maybe the one you saw is still very young.

Check this picture

Even if not identical, there are other species of collared lizards, somewhat similar with slight variations of colour and pattern.

no problem!
If you want, post a pic and someone can confirm.
Northern Fence Lizards are common, that may be the one!

HAHA! Bert sounds cute! you should definatly consider adopting him! he's the cutest little guy ever! good luck in finding him a home if you don't...like i said, i would take him, but i don't think my togo would like company and i don't think my dog would appreciate another "sibling" taking up "mom's" time! LOL!
