Moved to North Carolina

I just moved to Havelock NC to work on the Marine base. 3rd day at the new house and I found a baby copperhead in my backyard. Very cool little snake and surprisingly mild tempered. I relocated the little guy down by a stream. I would upload pictures but it won't work from my iPhone. I am looking forward to going out and doing some herping soon.

Re: Moved to North Carolina

That is awesome! I am in NE Tennessee and you can literally take a piece of 3'x3' tin roof scrap walk near any given wooded area that has a stream near by prop the tin up on a log in a partly sunny area then come back in a few days or a week. Use a snake hook or stick to lift the tin and BAM!!! like 3 or 4 snakes minimum everything from corns, rattlers, copperheads and some others I have yet to identify... It is so cool but nerve rackin to say the least when they all scatter.
