looking for some tips

Hey. I'm new to the site.
I had the chance to play around with a Nikon digital camera for a few days. These are some of the shots I took. I'm interested in getting into photography and was just wondering if anyone has some suggestions for taking good pictures.
Any help is great.
Thanks!

1 Practice practice practice
2 Bracket your shots, adjust the lighting, angles
3 review your photos, does the composition have too much clutter? does your object of intrest have to compete with other things in the shot? How are the lines? Do they lead you away from or to the object of intrest?

For shots with animals...keep the eyes in focus so that you get that "eye shine"

With a digital cam...just shoot lots of pics. Try lots of things like changing the lighting or camera mode etc. You might end up with 10 good shots out of 100 but that is why digital is so great.
