Re: My new creepy
Ah I always get mixed up with the 'f' and the 'p', darnit. :P Don't know why I always use the 'p'....
Either way. Beautiful bugger (teehee). I absolutely adore insect life... so long as they're unable to touch me. Well, the nastier / gross-er appearing ones anyways. Willing to bet I could get over my fear of the creepier ones with time and practice, but i'm more than happy with admiring them at a distance haha.

Re: My new creepy
Nice solifugid, BB. Did you catch it or find it at an expo?

It's not an insect, nor is it a spider.
Looks like it may well be full grown. Too bad they don't live terribly long (at least in captivity). To the best of my knowledge, they have yet to be successfully bred in captivity. One of those beasties of which little is known. Very intriguing little devils.
Why on earth would you smash them just for being, baPhoon? They are excellent predators and just as deserving of their place in the world as any snake or other animal.

That is EXACTLY why I got it.
To answer other's questions, I got it at a pet store, yes, I would love, more, and it's nearly full grown. Shame they don't live longer.
