Went to the science centre today

I went today and i have not been there in years...completely forgot about the mini rain forest that they have there. If you have never been its great for those of all ages....the rain forest room is a must see..its amazing..it featured various stick bugs..giant day geckos and the streams flowed with pink and blue convit cichlids which really surprised me. Anyway..put that on your "to do " list if you have never been

Thats sounds like a great day trip. I would love to go again. I went when I was a kid. It is probably alot more fun as an adult though. Maybe I will make a trip of it and go when I bring the family to the herp show in Febuary.

How much did it cost for admission/parking and stuff?

Thanks
Dino

the parking was 7.00 and the entry for an adult was 13...sorry i didnt get the kids entry as i have none..but im sure all the rates are on their website. It true is much more interesting when your older i find....i remember being a kid and looking at all of the steam and mechanical engines there...turning the dial and watching them work but not understanding exactly what everything did. Today i found myself there...as i am a mechanic..doing the same thing but explaining to my g/f how it worked...then there was a group of teenagers there...into the whole honda racing thing..next thing i know..im explaining how a four cycle engine worked to a large group of ppl..my g/f said that i should get a job there...maybe i will one day

That would be a great place to work. Talk about learning something new everyday, that would be the place to do it.

I forgot to ask earlier why you were so surprised to see the convicts?

Oh I see, very cool. You are right very good choice.( Convicts )

I have added the Science Centre on my list of to do's thats for sure. That and the Toronto Zoo.

I was suposed to go on boxing day for a Christmas walk through the Zoo but we ended up canceling. I ended up in emergency with my son on X-mas day cause I droped a speaker on his head ( accident ) So the zoo was a no go.

We have something like that in the Topeka Zoo, a fake rainforest. It's always been my favorite part. ^^ It's in it's own little building, they're lacking in herps pretty bad (they do have some sort of crocadillan(sp?) in there somewhere, that's about it). They do have some cool birds though, and monkeys that kinda run around loose and stare at you from the trees.
