Goodbye old friend, hello newbie...
As a few of you may know, we lost our 15.5 year old black lab Kayla five weeks ago. Smile on her face and a wag in her bum until the very last day. Her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and home, I've cried every day since her leaving. She will never be forgotten.
Goodbye my Kaylabean.
In an attempt to heal and move on, Willow (my 10.5 year old chocolate lab) and I have decided to add a new pup to our family, introducing Gracie; our eight week old chocolate lab. Willow hates her but not for lack of Gracies efforts.

Ohh Mykee, I am so sorry to hear about Kayla. That is heart breaking but I am happy to hear she was happy and waggy until the end. She is a beautiful girl! Now as for Gracie- Who couldn't love that face! Labs are amazing pets and I am sure that Willow will warm up to Gracie sooner or later.

Ohh, I'm so sorry to hear about Kayla! *hugs* It's terrible to lose a pet and it takes time to heal, but she was deeply loved and sounds like she had a great life with you.
Gracie is adorable and she will definitely help you heal. Our pets never live long enough; they leave us too soon, but sad as it is, it leaves room in our hearts and homes for new ones. Best of luck to you and Gracie....Will0w will come around; she's probably still confused and missing her old friend. Give her time, you'll all be a big happy family soon!

*hugs* I'm sorry about Kayla... Dogs are sometimes,a lot of times, better than people so I know it'll be hard for a while. A puppy is a good healing helper!
And WHAT a cutie. I wouldn't be able to resist smooching that lil face!!!

I'm sorry about Kayla Mykee, I know how hard it is to lose our best friends, but I am SURE she had the best life possible with you and is waiting at the bridge for you with tail wagging!!
That new pup sure is adorable, willow is grieving too, but she'll warm up to the new addition sooner or later, give her time.
