Corn Snake Breeders!

I have been looking into getting another corn (won't be for 4-5 months, but always like to look) and I like to look at breeders to find out whats out there and for how much. I have already talked to snakefood about mabye taking one of his in the future but always like to have an open mind in case I want a morph that he doesn't have. So for you Canadian people and espectially Albertain people what are some good breeders out there. I would prefer if they were in Alberta but Canada is also good. I might also get some other type of colubrid so if you know a breeder for rat snakes, milk snakes, etc...... than that would be awesome too. Just no hoggies please. I wish, but there is no way my mom would let me get a hognose even if they are only rearfanged.

Re: Corn Snake Breeders!

LOL you didn't show her my photos, did you? lol they don't do that normally!!

Okay corns it is then. You should keep an eye out on craigslist and locally. Our local pound even (rarely) gets corn snakes in.
Otherwise, unless you're getting something fancy...

What morph are you looking into next? Expos are always great for that as you know, since you can go see which you like in person.

Re: Corn Snake Breeders!

PS: considering the long time it took to finally get your corn, I'd expect to see more photos of him! Update us!

Re: Corn Snake Breeders!

I don't really know what morph.... that is part of why I want to look. The one in Edmonton that we have is not good at all to say the least. That is where I got my corn snake and all I have to say is that he and one other one were the only corn snakes at the entire show. The whole show was made up entirely of ball pythons. Thats ALL there was and I went on the first day.... one hour after it started. I might be going to the Western Alberta show which is in Red Deer I think.... again. It is supposed to be good. The only problem is that it is in August which is a little too early for me since I don't have a actual job yet and my money intake is very slow. Plus most of the money I do earn goes to my gecko and my snake....so it takes a while for me too save.

P.S. Will do! Sorry I have a really crappy camera and it is hard to take decent pictures.

Re: Corn Snake Breeders!

What about the breeder you got Houdini from? He might carry more morphs than what you saw at the expo.

I don't know his name? I forgot to look! I was really mad because I also forgot to look at how old he is.

Re: Corn Snake Breeders!

We have a ton of great breeders here in the states, if only it wasn't so hard to ship across the border.

Re: Corn Snake Breeders!

Do you live at all close to the US border by any chance?
Edit: never mind. I looked up Edmonton, Alberta... NOT close to the US

Re: Corn Snake Breeders!

well if you do get to the western AB show, Rebecca from Triple R Corns will be there, she usually has a really good selection of morphs. If you can't make it to the show, she lives here in BC and does ship.

PS, I am a "she"!!!!

There's a HUGE Reptile Expo in Red Deer this Saturday August 25th 2012. You should probably wait for that!

Re: Corn Snake Breeders!

^That is too soon! And sorry SnakeFood. I knew that I justy have a tendancy to call everybody on the internet a guy even if I know they are a girl. I will check out triple r corns and it sound like what I want. I am still hoping that you will have one that I like snakefood because I like supporting members on this forum. I will probably be going to the westen expo in red deer and look at the stuff there. I won't get anything there but I will look and get an idea of what I want. Anymore suggestions of breeders would be great.

Re: Corn Snake Breeders!

No problem, even though I'm called mamma bear here, I get mistaken for being male alot!! LOL

Here's Rebecca's website

Triple-R-Corns

She will most likely be at the red deer show, so you can check her out there, and like I said, she ships for when you're ready.

As for me and mine, I will post pics of this clutch once the last 2 babies have left the shell, and if you want one held, I would consider that.

Another BC breeder is Squamish Serpents, she seems to specialize in Snows, I don't have her website on hand but I'm sure you can google it. Her name is Katia.

I really don't know AB breeders, but would like to find some if you could list any you find, so I can see if they have some of the genes I am looking for that I can't find here!!
