Jungle python shed

Hi everyone I was wondering if you could please help I have a two year jungle python I have had him for about 10 weeks, he has shed twice while I have had him. I haven't been able to get a full shed it is always broken in 3 sections is this ok I have checked temps and humidity on web and seem fine I spray his tank every two days and humidity stays around 45%. Is this too low around shedding. It's not a flakie shed, just in 3 sections.

Re: Jungle python shed

I have 3 jcps. 2 shed one piece but my female tears hers every time. As long as it all comes off I wouldn't worry about it.

Exactly. It's not uncommon for it to rip into pieces as it comes off. There is a lot of tension on it as they truck around their enclosure and once it gets snagged on a branch or something, it's likely going to tear, but if it all came off, the snake is healthy.

Re: Jungle python shed

If it comes off in large pieces it is fine, if it comes off in hundreds of small pieces THEN oyu need to up the humidity - sheds can get caught on "furniture" in the viv and rip easily so big pieces isnt an issue
