Super sweet looking Mack. You can see the purple tint a little in the first one.

these guys are great! nice active semi arboreal and a personality that keeps you on your toes! also a nice specimen is a beauty to behold!
this would probably be the last snake i ever got rid of if i ever had to give them up, the other half cant understand this but he is something really special!

Re: my Macklots in the sun
He looks great Em, growing well
The more I see macklots the more I'm convinced of different locales...your boy looks similar to my big lad...whereas I have two females that are a yellow/green with hardly any speckling
I wish I could find out more about them

know what you mean helen, he is totally different from a lot of macks ive seen, almost a true "freckled" python if you know what i mean?
he is also a total water baby even at this age and i would have thought he would have grown out of that by now. i think he is from holland originally but need to do a little back tracing.
his purple in real life is really noticeable, is almost like what heather looks on the moors. get some pics of your girls up, i dont think ive been introduced to the second female?

Re: my Macklots in the sun
It is always nice to see Macklots on display like this. These are highly underrated snakes and deserve more attention than what they get so thank you for this.

yeah they really do deserve more attention, i think people give than a bad reputation beacuse they mistake their feeding response as aggression. i do have to be careful when feeding as he is likely to launch himself out at me rather than wait for me to bring the food to him!
he is a very good display snake.
