It's Always Nice When You Have A Good Feeding Day

With only just a couple of upsets in feeding 11 reptiles, feeding day was a success.

My kingsnake, who for some reason refused a meal last feeding day, ate. I had been feeding her f/t, but every once in a while she'll refuse them so I always get extra feeders for her next feeding day. Although it was quite funny to watch her chase after a "hopper" mouse (it's an adult but it hopped every time she tried to tag it lol).

My son's royal is now eating small adult rats, which was a switch from mice to rats plus an upgrade is prey size)

My Colombian red tail is now eating small adult rats, another switch from mice and feeder size.

The rainbow is now taking two small adult mice. And still acting like she's hungry O.O

My bigger burm, my two dumerils, and my carpet are all on jumbo rats now (which leads me to wonder how soon should I start making the switch to rabbits).

I actually got to see the scorpion catch and eat a mealworm. Fascinating...

My older royal refused again, even live food. This is the third feeding attempt in a row he's done this so I'm assuming he's off feed for whatever reason. There's been absolutely no change in his husbandry.

My slightly smaller burm regurged her rat I gave her not too long after she digested it. After reading another's post about his retic eating right after a regurge, against the rules, I went ahead and offered her a smaller prey item since she acted like nothing had happened and was still hungry. She kept it down and after cruising her cage wanting more, eventually went into her hide and settled down. So success with something I normally would NOT do.

All in all, it was a good feed day. Alot of changes that were happily accepted

That is awesome! I love when things like that happen.

Me too! And my bigger burm shed today so she's back to being her sweet self I think eating such a large meal close to shed day blew her shed though. It was in about 4 to 5 big pieces. But the is normal for her when she sheds so soon after eating.

Sweet! Gotta love when it goes well, especially the changes in diet.

I used to feed all on the same day when I was off (I tub feed) but after my BP firs refusal I've been breaking it up into different days, but those days where it's one after another is definitely a great feeling
