Sorry for your loss
IF you are looking for answers it would be good if you can provide ALL the details about its enclosure - size, temps, humidity, number of hides, type of substrate etc etc etc and we will try to help you get to the bottom of it

I recommend you take it to the vet for a necropsy. I lost a 7 year old corn snake last week and the vet discovered she had a fatty liver and it had started hemorrhaging because it was weak. It was a sad event, Maple had been with me a long time, but knowing why really put my mind at ease.

Do you know if your snake was wild caught? It could have had parasites even if its mother was wild caught I think.

What you are describing sounds like a seizure. It could be brought on by parasites that got into the brain, toxic reaction to a chemical, or pneumonia, calcium/vitamin deficiency or a number of other illnesses/toxins that got into your snake's brain.
You will probably never know exactly what happened unless you get a necropsy done. Any good herp vet will be able to perform one, although I'm not sure how much data can be gleaned from a very tiny specimen like a baby corn.
I'm so sorry for your loss- it's never easy to lose a pet, especially when it's a traumatic death like that. I've had a GTP die from seizures during pregnancy- same thing happened. The snake was resting, then just starting twitching and flipping and corkscrewing...it was all over in about 10 minutes. I had a necropsy done and the vet determined that she had dumped too much of her calcium reserves into shelling the eggs too soon, putting her into shock.
I hope you find some answers, and some solace.

It doesn't sound as though it were a seizure to me. I had a ball python actually suffer from seizures (born with it). This was not how she acted. She would tense up and her body would go into strange positions for a few minutes, and then she would be back to normal.
I'm sorry for your loss
