can i use this for enclosure?

i picked this up from a yard sale for $10.00
was thinking I could use it to make a nice new enclosure. how could i go about converting this into an enclosure? has anyone else done somthing like this?

BTW, all of the pieces inside shown in the picture are only held in by screws. i can take everything out if need be.

Pretty much anything can be used as an enclosure.
For that, I can quickly think of several things.

First, I'm guessing the back is just cardboard, if so, it would need to be replaced with plywood or something similar.

For a vertical enclosure:
remove the front cross beams except the bottom one and remove the inner drawer rails. If you want it waterproof then fill all the holes with wood putty and use a few coats of marine epoxy to seal the wood. Flip it upside down so the open bottom is now the top and make a lid out of screen or plexiglass. Make doors for the front using a wood frame around glass or plexiglass.

for a long enclosure:
For this, I would likely only remove the first and 3rd cross beams, leaving the center and bottom. Remove the inside drawer rails. If you want it waterproof, fill all the screw holes with wood putty and apply a few coats of marine epoxy. Would need some plywood for the open bottom of it. Turn it on its side. Could put in a divider where the center cross beam is to make 2 enclosures, or leave it as one big enclosure, either way both sides could have either one large door or two smaller doors. Would need to cut holes in the side that's facing up for lights.

Thanks! Yeah I'm thinking of either making two long enclosures for my kings or I might make one big one and pick up a new boa. Decisions decisions. Thanks for the input!

For your king snakes I would simply replace the back wood and add a wooden floor. Put a shelf divider in the middle and have a viv on top and one on bottom. use piano hinges to hold doors on and you can even get old windows to use as a door if you have a salvage yard near you. Just clean and coat everything with a safe sealer.

I would line it and make a door(s) for it using acrylic sheeting. Plastic shops may even cut to size for you.

Personally, lining with a plastic would be essential to me in order to keep things sterile.

Plywood. As long as you seal it, pine plywood is perfectly fine.
