Re: Dames of the house
I have a Spotted (A. maculosa) and to me these look more like Children's (A. childreni), but there's a lot of variation in each subspecies.

Adorable spotteds! I love Antaresia- they are such funny, curious snakes.

Gorgeous photos! I really love spotted pythons and would possibly like to own one someday. How is their temperament?

Generally they are great tempered animals... having said that mine isn't.... now having said that, I don't really make an effort to tame down my animals.
Kat, Shaun & CDN... The first snake is the spotted python, second one's a stimsons python.
Cheers for the lovely feedback guys...

Re: Dames of the house
They're both beautiful
Is the Stimson's a 'Burmese' phase, or does it just happen to look like that on the parts we see of it in those 2 shots?
Oh yeah...tell me my maculosa's eyes won't fade from the screaming orange they are now. Lie to me if you have to

The Stimsons isn't any sort of morph, it's a locality specific animal - Windora QLD, and YES! the spotty's eyes will forever be orange. I have a pic of my spotty with evil intent in it's orange eyes... I'll put it on this thread just for you .
