It is a very boring show! Less people at the last show than the earlier one.

Re: BC reptile expo
No there will be no garters there!!!
But, I went to the fall show put off by the same org. There were alot of beautiful boas, lots of morph variety there and in BP's as well. Many different lizzards, ??(the water ones with the weird x name??) TONS of supplies, cages ect... They were sadly lacking in Corn breeders there (only 3 and 2 of them only had 1 morph each) So Hopefully I will have healthy hatchlings by that time!! I also plan on having the larger prey items there which they say no-one has ever brought, so we should do well in that area. I am making different viv decorations and props, backgrounds hides and climbs. Hubby is making some 6 bin rat racks for me to sell as well (unfortunately, they will not let me bring live rodents in, so customers who buy the racks can come out to my house for thier first breeders if they want)

What you said in bold.. I think is VERY smart of them. The last thing you want is a bunch of hungry snakes smelling food while people are trying to handle them.

You know, I never thought of it that way and your right!! That would be horrible!!
All I was thinking was having a tank of males and a tank of females so that when/if someone bought a rack system, I could fill it for them way cheaper than them going to apet store, rats there are $10-$20/rat.
But like I said, they'll just have to come out to my house if they want the cheaper prices!!

What we did at the Des Moines show was we had a table with our racks but the rats were outside in the van in the parking lot. I led customers to the van to pick up their rats after they paid for them.

Sounds good in theory, but by april and until sept/oct it can be very hot around here, especially in a car!! Maybe hubby could sit under a tree with the live cages and I'll send them out to him!! LMAO!!

Re: BC reptile expo
My local show doesn't allow garters either
I wish it was easier to get black racers 'round here too.

Re: BC reptile expo
i would really like to see some more snake supplies there such as pvc enclosures, hides, thermostats, racks , heat tape ext..... but i think for a small show they have a pretty sweet selection of animals especially boas and bp's

Re: BC reptile expo
Yes, me too!!
I will have different hides and such at my table, but haven't thought of the others. I'm not sure if heat tape is legal to be sold here and am trying to check that out!!
Hubby will have built some rat breeding racks for this show, but I hadn't considered making snake racks. Thanks for the idea, maybe I'll have that figured out by the fall show!!
If anyone else has any ideas of what I should thinking of selling, I am open-minded.
Trent and Pythons9991, I hope to see both of you there!!
