I'll keep this short... I slit my finger open on the toe nail of a frozen rat, then showing someone how it happened, I slit my finger open again on the toe nail of the same frozen rat... SIGH, going to bed.

awww lol! Poor thing.
Hey you know, that begs the question...does anyone trim the nails before feeding? We thaw for a long time..so i've assumed the keratin in the nails softens, by the time the snake eats it.

I saw the same sort of thing happen when I was an apprentice. One of the guys in the machine shop took the tip off his finger trying to clean swarf (metal shavings) from the tool on his machine. After two weeks he returned and after getting an earful from the boss for his stupidity he came back into the shop and started working on the same machine. One of the other guys asked him what had happened, he showed him and promptly took the tip off another finger. He was suspended for a month. :-)
