My boa hasn't pooped in 4 weeks and I am starting to think maybe she is constipated. I last week I gave her 2 small rats because I didn't have a medium. I let her soak in my tub for about 20minutes and nothing came out. Her are some pictures, you tell me does she look constipated. If she is what are somethings I can do to help her. Thanks! boa 001.jpg
Some snakes don't poop nearly as often as we think they should. My Bp has gone 5 weeks without pooping at all then one day he will leave me a HUGE gift. I would say as long as temps and humidity are spot on and she has access to water don't worry to much.
Okay thanks! Yeah I make sure their temps and humidity are perfect. I will just keep an eye on her. Hopefully I will get a late Christmas gift from her soon. Hahaha!
Personally, I skip on feeding again until my snake has had a bowel movement.
If you keep piling rats in there, you're just increasing the chance of them getting backed up.
If temps are fine, I'd just wait it out unless you notice anything else. Won't hurt your boa at all to miss a few meals.
My BP just left me a "present" today - first for around 3 months, the "present" was about half the lenght of the snake!!!
