Hello From Pennsylvania
Hi I'm Tyler and I'm 15. I'm the owner of Regeneration Reptiles. We breed cornsnakes and ball pythons. I collect snakes and frogs.  Good to be here!

I do too, The only time I do get concerned is that if the parents are not completely on board.
Meaning this. (No offense intended to anyone, just good solid facts to think over)
If my child wanted to "become a breeder" I would be the one buying stuff and making the trips to the vet, running out to the fed ex dispatch and setting up the paypal, etc....
When dealing with live animals doing things properly is paramount.
I wish all these kids the very best, I just hope that things like vet bills and buying supplies is not going to be any sort of an issue.
I have done business with some young entrepreneurs and been very happy, I got my roach colony from a school aged fellow who was very professional and prompt.
I have a couple snakes obtained similarly.
So please just make sure you are fully prepared before moving forward.
There are some people out there who plop 2 snakes together and are suddenly "breeders", please don't let yourselves become one of them.

Infernalis. My mom, although doesn't like the snakes, is on board and knows this is my dream. My dad, brought me up with snakes, he had a Ball Python and we would go herping when I was very young. I have been keeping snakes and lizards for longer then some herpers here I am sure :P Although in the beginning I wasn't good at it, my parents didn't think my collection would be as large as it is now and my dad certainly didn't know how to care for an iguana properly or anything. I have a job during the summer roughing in houses for my dad's plumbing buisiness, and during school I sell stuff, do odd jobs, and breed mice to make things a lot cheaper. I pride myself in only having to take 1 reptile to the vet ever, and it was a female bearded dragon who I got when she was really sick. I should have said "breeding corns and bps" I haven't started yet lol but by spring I should have cornsnakes. They will be normal het for amel and anery. I'm just breeding this pair to get experience unless I find a female snow corn at the Hammburg PA Show :P Like I said, forums look great and I'll start posting soon!

I agree 100%. I considered becoming a breeder but then I started thinking about the responsibility of making sure all the babies went to good homes and how picky I am ...
No one would want to jump through the hoops I would make them jump through to adopt baby snakes. So I decided against it.
In the end I would end up with more snakes than I could handle and my husband would let them go in the bedroom while I am sleeping then collect the life insurance policy because it was an "accident."

I love that your dad took your herping and exploring the wilderness since you were young. I did the same with my son and still do. When I was little my backyard was the “back 50” (50 acres) and my best friends were whatever I could get my hands on. The first reptile I caught in the wild was a Horny Toad. I use to keep toads until one day I accidentally stepped on one. I cried A LOT (I was 7) and ever since then I practiced catch & release.

You seem very mature for your age, and it's exciting to know that there are kids out there with a love an passion for reptiles that they are willing to work and help as much as they can in order to help fund there passion.
